Formadrain uses a “cured-in-place” method of sewer lining, whereby a special balloon wrapped in fibreglass and resin is put into your sewer line, the balloon is then inflated to press against the walls of your current sewer line. Next the sewer line is “baked” with steam to cure the resin, and once cured the balloon is deflated and removed. This provides you with a sewer line that does not have any joints– leaving you with a single solid pipe from your property line to your home. What’s special about this method is that it offers outstanding protection against root infiltration, as roots typically seek out joints in a sewer line to force their way into the system.

However, for collapsed sewer lines excavation will be necessary.
