We constantly had our drain backing up in the basement around our laundry. We were beyond stressed water and toilet paper around our drain. We called Birnie and we were a little worried they wouldn't show at first as they are so busy and they came to our rescue like heros. Eric came up with 4 package options for us to choose from. I was absolutely blown away of his knowledge in sewage and drains. He answered every question we had. Jamie even got on his knees to clean the tissue mess around the drain so I could get to my laundry and my cat could get to his litter. They solved the issue quick and their price was in market value and affordable. They went beyond and above to help us. I will get the membership and will be a repeat customer for life. We had a sewer back up, contacted Bernie’s. The customer service was outstanding and quick. They sent Jacob and he was informative, efficient, and very respectful of our property. Jacob was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Bernie’s.
Update: A 10/10, don't go anywhere else. I can't say enough about the friendly, professional service that I received with Birnie Plumbing and Drains. After they came and snaked our drain, we contracted with them to replace our old sewer drains, disconnect the weeping tile and redirect it to a newly installed sump pump and pit, remove a sewer exhaust pipe and instal a backflow valve. The crew was so friendly and clean. Plastic runners were placed on my floors and plastic drop sheets to protect against the dust. Again, I highly recommend Birnie Plumbing and Drains of Hamilton. A perfect 10/10 in my opinion. Our main drain was backing up and flooding our basement with sewage. We couldn't use the water at all. It was terrible! Today a plumber from Birnie Plumbing and Drains came to help us. He was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease with the situation. He presented multiple solutions for me to pick from covering most price ranges and had the work done quickly and efficiently. At the end, I was shown a video confirming my main drain was clear. I was even sent the video via email. I am so impressed with the service that I received that I would gladly use them again. Thank you so much. 😁
We have dealt with various members of Birnie & Sons Plumbing over a span of 40 years with our business (retired 2015) & home needs. We have always experienced prompt, efficient service. Recently on Nov. 14, 2025 their tech Charlie attended to a bathroom leak which required prompt repair. He outlined diagnostic pricing and options and effectively completed the job with same day service. We will continue to recommend this company to family and friends.
